Today's Finer Thing is college friends....This weekend is my college reunion weekend. We will celebrate our 15th this year. It is so hard to believe that it has been this long since I met these women. I went to a small women's college in North Carolina. Our class was small and we were all very close in school and still are today. These ladies are some of my very closest friends. We've made sure we could be with each other in all the major events in our lives. We were in all the weddings and now we are godmothers to the children. Unfortunately, we have also been with each other during the difficult times too as some of us have lost a parent or gone through other tough times. We live up and down the east coast these days, but try to get together at least once a year. It gets harder and harder as we all have gotten married and started families, but we try to make it a priority. The amazing thing about this group of women is that no matter what is going on with work, families, etc. when we get together it is like we are back in college again. We stay up all night long laughing and talking about everything. There is just something about the friendships you make in college that stay with you your whole life since in a way you grow up with these people while you are in school. It is hard to make close friends as an adult because we are all so busy and are trying to take care of our families. People may come and go as you grow, but college friends stay with you forever and I am so glad they do.....this is definitely a finer thing.
