Tis the Season!!!

Wow! Does anyone know where November went? We have been super busy (Hence no time for blogging) and are looking forward to another super busy week as Holiday Market starts this week in Columbia. I can't believe that Thanksgiving is over and it is now time to start preparing for Christmas. I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. I guess that means it is time to start shopping, wrapping, decorating, and baking.

Here are some cute ideas for the holidays:

This is a link for some fun recipes and ideas for Christmas sweet treats. A lot of them would be easy for you to make with your children. There are also some great ideas for treats to send to your children's schools for holiday parties.

Here are some fun and easy crafts for you and your children to make for all the people on your list. Homemade gifts are a memorable and inexpensive way to show someone you are thinking about them. I love homemade gifts because it shows that someone really took the time to do something special for the people they care about. I love to bake treats every year and give them to our friends and neighbors. It isn't a big or expensive gift, but something that I love to do and want to share with people we care about. That is what this time of year is all about.....not money and big gifts and trying to impress people. It is so important to let people know you care and to take the time to remember all the gifts we have been given in our lives that can't be bought in a store.

I hope these ideas help you start to get ready for the holidays and be on the lookout for lots more!!! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Advent and Merry Christmas, y'all!!
