Christmas Traditions

Our children are only 4 and 2 so we are just figuring this whole Christmas with children thing out and how to see everyone and do everything. We have started some new traditions that we hope will last for many years and that our children will always remember as they start ones of their own. One of our favorite traditions is on Christmas Eve when we go to church as a family and then meet 4 or 5 other families for supper. We all go to different churches so this is a great way to meet up and have a fun and relaxing meal together after a busy day. We have gone to a restaurant in the past, but when you have 8-10 adults and 10-12 children, a restaurant can be a little trying. This year we are going to meet at one of our houses. That way the kids can run and play and the adults can talk without worry. I am going to do a big pot of crock pot pasta. You literally put the uncooked pasta, sauce, and a little water in the crock pot and let it cook for 3-4 hours. Add cheese at the end and let it melt on top and you have a super easy and kid friendly meal. It is so easy and can cook all afternoon so we are ready to go right after church. Here are some more kid friendly recipes for the holidays or any time.
