My New Favorite Thing!!

Have you heard of the Candy Cottage??? I learned about them for the first time at Holiday Market this year. I have to say this is one of those things that I wish I had invented. It is a pre-made gingerbread house and all you have to do is ice and decorate. It really is such a clever idea and I plan on using ours all year long. The cottage is made up of two pieces- The house and the base. I iced the cottage before the children decorated it with all the candy.

I put the candy in a muffin pan sorted out for both children. This made it easy for them to decorate.

I love the Candy Cottage! It is so easy. This was the first year we made a gingerbread house because it is such a pain to bake the gingerbread and assemble the house. Now that the hard part is over, we just might use this all year long. The best thing is that you can just wash it off and use it over and over again. Now, isn't this a nifty invention???
